Linda Klane MFT

I have worked as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in Woodland Hills since 1981.  Over the years it has been my privilege to assist many fine families and individuals in meeting their goals.  I have also had the honor to participate in the training and licensure of more than 20 new therapists, with many of whom I proudly continue in network and referral relationships.

I have watched many trends in psychotherapy come and go and worked to get training and expertise in quite a few.  I continue to take continuing education classes and attend peer consultation groups in the newest state of the art therapy techniques.  Most recently I became certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a neurologically based technique for restoring balance to the brain after small and/or large “T” trauma.  In addition, I am now using tools borrowed from the Somatic Experience model of psychotherapy.

It is my pleasure to continue to grow as does the practice and research knowledge base of the mental health field.  Still, the constants that last and are an integral part of any successful therapeutic efforts are my favorites; unconditional positive regard, trust, safety, ethical conduct and “do no harm.”  My practice is very busy but I encourage you to call.  If I cannot personally see you due to scheduling conflicts, I will make every attempt to refer you to trusted and well-known colleagues.  A good way to reach me is by e-mail as I check it daily and often can reply in that manner after calling hours have passed.  I look forward to meeting you.
